Today I showed the fabulous Stark Mansion and then ventured up to Louisiana, Missouri to check out Hoffman Gardens. I was told that now is the ideal time to select your daylilies since they are in bloom now. The Hoffmans breed many of their own strains and it looked like they had hundreds to choose. I found 4 beauties and the owner dug them up for me. Only $5/piece. I need to carve out more space in my garden so I can buy more!
I was showing the historic Stark Mansion to a couple today. What a gorgeous day to show this fine property. The Knock-out roses were is top form!

On Saturday I had the treat of visiting one of our neighbor's farm up in Pike County. This historic, Civil War era property belongs to a large St. Louis family. It has a lovely main house, guest cottage and a glorious old barn. The views of the Pike County Nobs are exceptional. It was such a pleasant outing and a nice break from the hectic Spring real estate market.
I went out to my farm in Pike County to show some property. It was a gorgeous day to drive in the country. This time the Purple Dead Nettle makes a brief appearance and dies down pretty quickly when the warm weather comes in. Check out this Overview of this plant….it is edible!
